olesargesas, i agree raising the price of alcohol, does nothing to stop the addicted, Gees there was some alcoholic in hospital recently who drank a couple of litres of hand sanitiser to get his fix, lets increase the tax on that, plus now hospitals need to put into place a risk minimization strategy that will cost 100's of thousands to protect the stupid rather than being spent better .

like the alcopop tax penalise people who like a bundy & coke in a can, to somehow stop kids drinking when they go out instead and buy a $15 bottle of vodka from dan murphys. I know what i would prefer my kid to be taking to a party.
