So is this critical - I don't think so - seems less to do with the ability of the drug to cure an influenza sufferer, than with the ability of the drug to prevent influenza over a number of days, when given to somebody who does not have the bug.

Logically we are looking at a market that is much smaller than the market for a cure once they have the flu. The efficacy of the drug would be at it maximum, you would expect, immediately after taking it, and then would degrade quickly over time as the drug is broken down by the body and other effects.

Seems to me it would be nice if the drug could 100% prevent flu for a period of time, but for me personally - I cannot ever imagine taking it as a preventative.

Am I missing something - please let me know if I am.
