kdav, when an announcement comes along and your holding as a trader you obviously have to take the good with the bad

as a ST trader I try and avoid holding if one is due and will trade according to how the announcement has effected the chart ie potential weakness or strength

yes certainly do all the time, for example over on SDL, had an announcement this morning and gapped up on huge volume closing lowish on there first few intraday bars ie supply present, would now trade this accordingly ie. wait for supply to disappear and show signs of it, via testing and enter trade, this way your reducing the risk and this is done on all timeframes 2min, to 240min or daily
