Unfortunately the downside risk for gold is very real now IMO. To buy now, the downside risk outways the upside potential and a number of large US funds agree at least.

Of course the POG may go higher but some of the figures I've seen bandied around HC are utterly proposterous!

As for gold equities, well too much risk there too. Let's face it most Aussie goldies certainly haven't capitilised on the significant increase in the POG over recent years.

Gold equities are sold off along with every other equity as we learnt during late 2008 & all of 2009.
