    WC8,
Yes I agree last year's roundtable seemed to suggest that KEN and CKK might be crossing paths. If it did turn out to be CKK as the potential JV partner (not saying it is, just keeping an open mind), do you think taking an equity stake would fit in with CKK's preferred operations? If so, what would be their capacity to purchase a stake? Or would we assume there might be a contribution based solely on provision of rig and services in return for equity?

    Thanks osr,
Well spotted. I hadn't seen this figure in any of the announcements, so I had missed it. 60+c/kWh is a whopping number isn't it! It appears from the wording this number may refer to peaks experienced. I agree it's a starting price from which we'll presumably be negotiating a lower alternative as our offtake - so for this purpose the higher the better. If PAX are happy with a tariff of 10c/kWh with some initial deals up to 15c/kWh, it leaves a lot of headroom for us to negotiate in. Of course, we are talking a much smaller project than their combined Indonesian plans. That said, the size of our Pacific foray appears just about right for where we are at right now - while waiting to develop our flagship project in Tassie.

    Hi Dis,
Yes the likely power grid appears planned to be built around the ring road which may in turn allow new development to spread out further around the island, in which case a second modular stage of an additional 4MW could be contemplated. Big question about sea level rises is out of my depth (pardon pun). Maybe one for BB to answer? Are you not onboard ATM?
