did conoco cover up a huge discovery ?

Making a hasty retreat from Somalia(Puntland), Conoco appears to have made a significant discovery, or was on the verge of announcing one, when the troubles began. Studying the documents, I am convinced they did.
I believe there is a lot that we are not privy to re- The Conoco report 2006, and private discussions were entered into re the estimated 'true' value of the licences sold to Range. Secrecy seems to have been paramount, until the political upheaval in Somalia had subdued...imo?


Why the cover up? Was a huge discovery made before Conoco made a hasty dash out of Somalia?

CONOCO was forced to leave their investments behind and they managed to wipe out any traces of progressed work in Somalia. The well locations positions were not known by the Puntland Government (Ex. Somalia) and in year 2006, Puntland Government requested Gulf Surveys Yemen to locate the position of the drilled well locations, survey 2 new exploration wells, and find the traces of Seismic lines.

IF there is any truth to this and it is more likely than not...consider this, first close your eyes, lick your lips, now ponder over a night drink...are we invested in what could be one of the HUGEST oil finds since the SAUDI's in 100years...IF we put all the stories together, plus this...and put into context this report from a Russian sub...

How shrewd is PL, he must know a lot more than he is letting on,maybe Conoco found something big....most of their exploratory drills were only scratching the surface, but enough to conclude 'commercially viable'
