That statement is basically a rewording of something mentioned in the announcement "...while the width of the mineralisation within the porphyry zone from 700 metres at surface to approximately 1,000 metres at a vertical depth of 1,500 metres at the central part of the porphyry system (Figure 3)"
Figure 2 in the announcement shows a black line indicating section 10,300W (across the widest area of the interpreted outline of mineralisation)
This section is presented In figure 3. The 700m at surface is roughly the distance between the two black lines (where it says porphyry zone), a rough measurement of the distance between the red lines (as close as possible to the surface) indicates a distance of ~500m
This section also shows that the mineralisation at surface is the really low grade stuff at around 0.2% Cu, the better parts of the orebody are at least 500m deep.
