He is just saying that rather than buying when there is a negative perception, he would rather wait for positive sentiment to return and ride it up. It measn that he/she can free up cash for other investments I guess.

    Only problem is, you don't want to have no cash to spend when the buy bell rings. But then again. There are lots of stocks on the ASX to trade, so missing out may not be so bad if you find something else with good potential...

    HDR is an extremely bullish stock. And with just reason. But, if you have a strategy, sometimes you have to stick with it (unless it is clearly clearly a terrible one). Like the buy and hold brigade (which I am a convert to - have sold to many times in a moment of impatience to have the stock go up a month or too down the track). Its no point being a buy and holder if you sell every six months because the day to day isn't looking encouraging.
