You and your Thai girlfriend were visitors to the temple, just as the Arabic man and his family were. She had no authority to ask the Arabic family to take off their shoes.
In what way was it "reverse discrimination" ? Was there a sign on the temple entrance requesting visitors to take off their shoes before entering ? Which temple was it ?
