    the below post is my opinion;

    yes benson you are correct but you won't change akg's opinion, like glug both strong advocates of labor - green parties.

    Pity some of these welded on luddites / sorry labor supporters won't be objective.....more likely to rely on semantics and twisted versions of history to mount their arguments.

    The fact is the labor party ...... stuffed up telstra shareholders investment through unprecedented intervention and bullying. Labor has renationalised the telephone network creating a plethora of protective legislation that winds the clock back 50 years in Australia.

    Sad thing is that the same approach to policy has been seen in mining, immigration, financial services and now the carbon tax....which they desperately need because of their addiction to spending and current up to $250bn debt.

    The proof of labor governments is in the overwhelming vote for labor in the two Canberra seats......plus 60%.....this is because they know that labor will make them important as the public service always explodes under a labor government, they will be fully employed and wages will go up.

    The burden of labor governments is carried by the middle class Australian......gone are middle class benefits private health rebates, meens testing on childcare benfits, etc.....up go the middle classes taxes.....in fact I would be interested in knowing what the spread in net income is for a family of four on $80,000 versus $150,000.....I suspect labor probably levels them all off between $60k to $90k....no point working hard whilst labor is in power....better of whinging and taking strikes. Not to good investing either....they don't like rich people.....with the aussie dollar strong probably best to invest overseas before they create a new company to smash your company or take back 30% of the mine you just invested in.

    Time for telstra to buy a bank and put out a mobiloe wallet product...........I can see it now....Telstra-Suncorp Mobile Wallet.

    I hold telstra shares and hope that they go up.
