I think you have overlooked something. If the gold price reaches $2,500 as you suggest, the world will be in a lot of trouble. Be careful what you wish for.
If you think gold will reach $2500, you must believe the world is going to experience hyper inflation.
There would have to be some type of currency crisis destroys stock markets and the financial system.
