Since I got such a good and interesting response to my post on LOK, I was wondering if anybody has a view on RKN.
Quicken in the US have released their Web based version of their product see: www.quicken.com
Australia is always a year or so behind in this respect, however I predict that the bulk of accounting going forward, perhaps 2-3 years out, will be done in this manner.
I do feel that RKN have a captive market and once they can move to an Application Services (ASP) / subscription based model, they will be able to cut costs dramatically and remove some of the lumps from their revenue.
I know Microsoft had a go are subscription revenue recently and pulled back, my view is they were a bit expensive and a little before their time, but be assured it will be back and it will be the way we buy software (services) in the future.
Does any body have any views on this stock from a technical perspective?
