Back from yet another suspension so I'll make a belated comment on this before the mob who are hounding me get active!

Some years back I was travelling the bruxner fairly often and usually picked up hitchhikers going to, or coming from Timbarra Base Camp. One time, after the base Camp closed and the blockaders moved into Drake I was invited for a feed and stayed for a chat.

Two points from this chat with a crew of dedicated lockers-on: First, they were aiming to increase the mine's security to a point where the operation became uneconomic (which it did), merely by their presence and the threat that posed. Second, and I was unaware f this (and don't know how applicable it is in our case), but once a piece of equipment has had someone lock-on to it, it had to be cleared by workcover before it could be put back into use. Of course this may have changed...

Although it was never acted on, these pholk were trying to get hold of a horse to jump the gate and lock-on to a conveyor, so they were willing to try anything!
