    valen1828,

The Liberals behaved very badly when they lost to Whitlam. Whitlam had the mandate to introduce Medibank but the coalition, in opposition, continued to reject it. It was established in a joint sitting of both houses after a Double Dissolution.

When the Liberals was returned to office some years later, tried to dismantle Medibank. Howard was on record as saying Medibank was a bad idea, or words to that effect.

The current generation of Liberals are behaving the same as bad as those in the 70s. They seem to think that they are the only ones who know how to government the country and what's good for the country. For a democratic society, this kind of attitude cannot be allowed to flourish.

We have Liberal supporters here talking about violence against Labor supporters, about a military coup to overthrow the Labor government, about rioting to pretest against the Labor government. I hope ASIO and the ADF are keeping an eye on people who are advocating such subversive behaviour on public forums.
