Strange that in Australia, unlike the US, there is no statute that enables the breaking up of a monopoly.
News Limited has about 70% of daily newspaper readership and sells the dominant paper in every city except Perth and Canberra.
So if there was ever a monopoly, News Limited is it. That in itself explains why there is no way to break up monopolies here.
