Sadly, mike's comments re Moncktons being peer reviewed are sorely shy of the mark. Mike shouldn't be blamed for this as he obvioulsy has no idea about how science works.This is the genius of the man Monckton, ie to gild his non-existent credentials.

Christopher Monckton is a non-scientist AGW denier, who has had articles published in The Guardian and in a non-peer-reviewed newsletter[1] of the American Physical Society (whose Council subsequently disagreed with Monckton's conclusions)[1] claiming that global warming is neither man-made nor likely to be catastrophic. Monckton is given to lying about his credentials, often falsely claiming he is a member of the British House of Lords.[2]
There's lots more of you care to read it. A man who is prepared to lie about his "Lordship" will lie about other matters.
The tragedy of the press club debate was that Denniss let all of the falsifications and obfuscations perpetrated by Monckton past and allowed those with no scientific training to be totally bamboozled. A very poor "debate"indeed.
