it was trying hard today but didnt quite make it over the line.

I use intraday data as well as end of day data.
The intraday candle when the price hit 29 showed a bullish candle on the daily chart, when it fell back so did the bullish tone.
In other words there was a possible reversal today where the buyers took control for part of the day, but they tired toward the end of the day and hence lost their strength.
I'll watch with interest tomorrow.
