CSIRO has formed an alliance with gas industry player Australia Pacific LNG, to undertake research that addresses the social and environmental impacts of gas developments. The Gas Industry Social & Environmental Research Alliance (GISERA) has been designed to expand its membership to include other companies both within and outside the industry, as well as research purchasers and providers such as universities and government agencies. GISERA opens its research account with $14M and plans to coordinate a research portfolio of ca $100M over the next five years
