re: Ann: Open Briefing - MD on Strategic Deve... "FRS don't have rail for their tenements, but I guess they haven't been negotiating a rail deal for 4 years"
True Gringo, but I recall them boasting about an imminent deal with BHP that never eventuated.
Due to the nature of the AGO offer, FRS will be bound to AGO until the deal is completed. Still its been rewarding for shareholders to see a 50% rise on the removal of Wah Sham alone.
The announcement gave no timetable at all for the completion of the FMG "advanced negotiations". Can you actually be in "advanced negotiations" indefinitely?
4 years of talks are yet to yield as much as an MOU with respect to transport, and like you I thought that Wah Sham's frustration at this instigated the takeover attempt, but their boasts about solving the "rail problem" have fallen silent. Given that "the Sham" are paying their debtors with pulp, I can't see them building a rail line anytime soon.
