BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- Shares of chemicals-developer Pure Bioscience PURE +17.92% jumped 17% to $1.15 on Thursday after it announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has approved an expanded label for its low-toxic disinfectant PURE Hard Surface. The new label will note that the product is also capable of killing the pathogens hepatitis B, hepatitis C and multiple Carbapenem-resistant bacteria, and that it can kill viruses as quickly as 30 seconds after application.
