Yer i read in the SMH that FGL paid $8bn over the years to put together the wine portfolio that is now TWE.
I also read in the SMH that TWE is trading at circa 70-75% (dont quote me on exact no)of its book value.
Whatever metric a potential buyer uses they are would be getting the business at a discount to its long term potential (i.e. the value that could be generated out of the business through effective management).
