    Hi pisa,

My relatives actually live in Bremen. They are not greens but they do worry that a terrorist could blowup a nuclear power station one day and they would prefer them gone. So they were ok with Merkel's decision but not if it means taxes will increase and power will cost much more. They also don't want windmills, grid towers, solar arrays, etc in their suburbs or the countryside.

Here in Aus - we are over it! There is a big backlash happening here against the Labor-Green government over CO2 taxes. The Labor-Green government will legislate a CO2 tax next year but its become so unpopular it looks like there will be a Liberal coalition landslide in the next election. The Liberals intend getting rid of any CO2 tax.

So, public opinions do change and the decisions made by one government can and often do get changed by future governments - you never know. I certainly would not vote green if it caused my lights and heaters go out in the middle of winter. (Maybe that how Merkel plans to finally get rid of the Greens?)

Anyway - how about we agree this sort of discussion is better done in the Uranium or Asx-General thread. Looks like we both agree that the German nuclear issue wont affect Extract or the likelihood of a takeover happening soon.

    cheers
    kacy
