ASIC should have a broader role in monitoring company activities - waiting until a company is worthless to turf it out of the index isn't really good enough.....
companies which grind along the bottom of the index whose sp is a fraction of a cent for years on end simply have no place in the ASX in my view - maybe there should be a two tier market - stocks with reasonable financial fundamentals and those which hover on the edge of survival doing nothing but providing directors with payments for doing nothing - makes me sick every time directors are awarded freebies in companies which are obviously only marking time, will never achieve anything and just play the market......
I could name a dozen companies which should be struck off the ASX tonight - maybe the ASX just likes to collect listing fees?.....
