careful, or this thread will become a 'we're better than tvn thread soon'
note: i hold ceo
I investigated TVN based on the width of the coal seam intersection however it is my conclusion that deposit will very likely turn out to be either lignite or sub-bituminous thermal coal. Which is not attractive to me at all as an investor. (TVN holders note my statement - not attractive TO ME, it can remain so for you).
Mongolia straddles the worlds biggest source of thermal coal (Inner Mongolia). In my mind TVN will be hard pressed to get $20 at the border for that style of coal.
CEO's potential for coking coal however means the selling price is far higher - South Gobi Resources information is the best source of current prices of coking coal at the border
