you guys need to see things from the moderators view point. There is nothing wrong with highlighting a word with bold or caps to help make a point...and probably 95% of posters adhere to that sort of protocol....but, as with everything in life, there will always be a small percentage who ruin it for everyone. If we turned a blind eye to things like shouting we would have no end of ramping posts all in letters 10 foot tall and thread headers flashing in neon lights all designed to grab attention and all designed to serve only the ends of those who post in that manner.

unfortunately when we enforce these rules for these reasons there will always be a little bit of "collateral damage" and perhaps that was the case with Mmartin today. in such cases we can only hope that posters understand why it is necessary for us to enforce a blanket policy and by no means is it meant to be personal against them.
