Fruit and Vegies are dirt cheap. How much other crap do you see in trolleys that's in the $10/$30kg range and above?
As to bananas, if people are still buying them in the same quantities as a staple then include them in a CPI basket, if not, remove them.
My family, of 4, eats bananas. To satisfy everyone without scrooging you need at least 3 kilos per week! Yeah right, CPI is telling us people spend $45/week on bananas LOL
