I'm feeling a touch of Deja Vu here, I was in PIE back when the NZ announcement was released and it wasn't fun at all just like being in a duster isn't fun but the rewards can be high when they come in.

PIE has been through some tough times since then but is a different beast now and stronger for the experience, while there is always a chance the announcement will say no deal I rate the likelihood of that outcome as extremely low and expect this to be the first of several Telstra related announcements....Time will tell.

As to Quickfix or even Telstra bidding for PIE, I put that question to Campbell when I met him and his response was to say that is definitely not what management are looking for at this time and any such approach would be vehemently opposed that's not to say that PIE would never support a takeover bid they most certainly will but not yet and not at current SP.

PIE expect the Telstra deal and roll out to be a proving ground to the international companies that are keeping a very close eye on PIE and once the deal has been bedded down management will turn their attention to international markets and ultimately look for a takeover by a company the likes of Sony Eriksson.

PIE management and board have their sights set very high and view the Telstra deal as a spring board to much larger markets but as always, time will tell.
