people get super fearful the price goes down... an overreaction....
people get super excited the price skyrockets past reasonable value...another overreaction...
Its all about the emotion, there was no reason for the SP to go down at all...but enough people got scared and the price people were willing to pay decreased.
Despite what we all think the value "should" be the market price is always determined by people commitment to the trade.
