I think everyone is getting a bit worked up over this one .
Hanlong initially took Talbot's 19% stake approx 515m shares according to the original substantial shareholder ASX announcement. This is now 15.1% or 434m according to the Top 20 List so 81m have being sold down.
To be honest selling down is not a good sign on their part, if they were serious in acquiring SDL why would they average up their average cost.
On the other hand it does open the door for another bidder if we pursue this path over a JV. We can avoid a Sphere like scenario which would discourage parties like Rio from considering SDL.
