In this particular case these numbers are down because it is seasonal in Japan. It's there summer and flu rates are down. It starts to ramp up again in October.
Overall nasty h1n1 seems to be down around the globe. Good.
Anodotally in Australia there seems to be a flu out there which is knocking people for six at the moment. I have the relenza handy.
