looks like the rest of the world is starting to loose confidence in the US with all the grand standing, even if they do get the debt ceiling sorted by Tuesday they have done some irreversible damage to there reputation, confidence is really everything in the financial markets we don't really need more uncertainty at the moment things are already on thin ice...be interesting to see what happens to the markets over the next week, but long term things look like they are only going south in the US. Just hope China and India can take up some of the slack..in the short term, but the printing presses in the US are bound to start printing the dollars again, which will see the likes of hard assets only go up in price
