Westcott I've already done so, i'm well aware of the other companies in the region. I've held SDL since they first picked up this project, years and years ago.
We all know the quality of the asset thats not the issue, the issue is how to monetise it. I believe a takeover is the best way of doing so, if not we'll end up with 35-40% of the asset, people forget this, net production to sdl will be in the nature of 12-15mt and we wont get there until 2015.....sure the production can continue to grow but we wont own 100% of it.
The market is not interested in 2015 stories, if the takeover gets pulled we'll be heading south, purely because of market disinterest.
It's funny how the thumbs up button works on this thread, so many johnny come latelys with $1+ targets....The only way we'll get a 75c takeover is if Xstrata decides it wants to get serious with iron ore and have a crack at one of the last remaining quality DSO assets
