    Personally I think you are right, these days much better to holiday in Australia, and certainly only basic common sense to avoid a country where some form of this islamic craziness has been allowed to find a home.

    Over the years I have spent many a happy time in Bali, but I have not been there for a number of years, and would certainly not go there right now or in the near future.

    In some ways, it is open-season on Australians all over Indonesia and has been for some time now.

    I would hope this islamic foolishness that some of the population seem to have embraced will pass eventually. Wait for a while and see how the new president does.

    There does seem to be a positive glee that emerges when the Indonesians find that they can "legally" kill an Australian or other foreigner, and when they can apply their poorly formed "laws" to one not quick enough to bribe themselves out of trouble as most of the Indonesians will do, often succesfully, in such a situation.
