Guten Morgen Phil,
it's a smart move by Siemens. The main reason is to secure cheap magnets for the case that Lynas is allowed to produce in Malaysia. I wouldn't rely on big profits from such an operation. Part of the deal will most likely be that Lynas provides REO at a resonable price. Do you spot the conflict of interests here?
