Heya, mooroolbark. I tried checking about real estate assets of MYR, but don't even know what to look for. I guess those assets would be in the MYR prospectus, or perhaps the Annual Report. There are also some readings around from the critics of the MYR float. I think some of the criticisms were about private equity/the Myer family selling the big MYR store in Melbourne and then leasing it back, as kings mentioned.
I don't know how much more MYR will be punished before it releases results in September. I guess those who like doing buyouts of distressed companies will be loving this share price. :( The dividend is now 10% neat + franking credits, which would be super if it could be maintained, and no capital loss. The markets are hard right now.
