Sundance aims to seal JV or accept takeover by end 2011

MELBOURNE Aug 3 (Reuters) - Australia's Sundance Resources , developing a $4.6 billion iron ore project, is aiming to secure a joint venture or bow to a takeover offer from private Chinese group Hanlong by the end of 2011, Sundance's chairman said on Wednesday.

"I hope to enjoy my Christmas holidays," Chairman George Jones told reporters.

He said discussions were complex and could involve either a joint venture or an "acceptable bid". (Reporting by Sonali Paul)
