That is so kind to to take the time to reply, and obviously given thought to your reply.
I will do as you suggest and see how I go. i have been trading on Commsec for years, mainly holding and taking a profit when suitable, read HC every night, read Eureka, Fat Proph etc etc.
I work for a junior explorer so my main focus are resource companies. May be having a slowing in work so I have been contemplating the prospect of becoming a more active ST trader and possibly using it for income replacement.
