What you said about the bigger bundles of land- that's exactly what I said in my comment above! :)

Noble would not be offering $10K an acre for 'anything that's left'. EKA has bought land for $2,000 and AKK bought land for $400 a few months ago. Both are yet to be proven, and to suggest that those acreages are worth $10,000 an acre is absurd! (as much as I'd like them to be, considering I hold the former).

For all we know Noble could be advertising "Purchasing EFS acres for up to $10,000", and then like regular salesmen would be arguing that "Joe Blo's land isn't good as the land next-door that was sold for a much higher price, we'll give you $2,000 + 25% royalties".

Did those folk also receive royalties from Hilcorp in that $14,000 per acre deal?

A price (per acre) like that is completely unheard of in my books, especially when Hilcorp were selling AUT some of their best performing land for $24,000 per acre at the exact same time period.
