DR - Its a mixture of a change of trading strategy and the market.

Not long ago at all (This FY) I sold 50% of my holdings at 17c for a good profit, I was sick of watching KRL ebb and flow between 12 - 15 and 15 - 22 and not taking any profits so my own "short term trade 50%" rule kicked into action this year, if i'm going to invest in specys there is money to be made long term and short term, I'm sick of missing out on the short term.

So that left me with 50%, which I off loaded Friday morning for 14.5c at a small profit.

What changed, the realisation of 2 things:
    1) As far as timing goes we don't have much news on the horison, we shoudl either hold or settle back to 12c in the next 2 months.

    2) The same clowns that caused the GFC are now running Americas treasury / finacinal system, nothing ahs changed and the most prominent economy in recent history looks set to crash and this time possibly burn.
Not to menton that Europe is a basket case.

So cash is king, the prices of all shares are slipping back, Rio / FMG / Wow all down 10% for the week, I'm not missing the boast on the upside thsi time, if teh fundermental business is sound they will come back, its just picking the depth of the fall, i reckon we'll know by Wednesday if its time to buy.

Yes - I'm still a believer and I'll be back in, Japan has just announced that its nuclear industry'a days are numbered, coal will feature prominently while renewable technologys are developed.

BTW - did you get FMG or Rio at those levels? we'll done if you did! I didn't i was just pointing out that playing specys in a recivering market ahs got me nowhere, playing bluechips as they get off their knees would have worked well after the GFC.
