'How much gas does BlueGen use?
At its maximum output (2kW of electricity) the BlueGen uses about 12.6 MJ of natural gas per hour. At its typical operation, generating 1.5kW of electricity, BlueGen uses about 9.5 MJ of gas per hour. By comparison, a 5-star gas storage hot water service can use anywhere between 30-50MJ of gas per hour.
'
Consumes for 1.5 Kw output unit 9.5 Mj /Hr at a domestic tariff TRU of average: 0.0125 / Mj using 9.5 Mj / Hr it costs say $2.85/day to run
Produces 1.5 Kw Hr Peak Rate 0.2318c kWHr 7am - 11pm Off Peak 0.1027c using Origin
Power Produced income $4.50 / day
Net Benefit => $4.50-$2.85 = $1.65 / day
$1.65 / day * 365 * 15 years = $9042.50 and if the unit cost is $39000 its a 60 year payback assume no maintenance cost... and free hot water forget interest etc.
Price point needs to be $5000.00 ( my guess )and if Power Costs double say $10,000.00 they are not going to fly off the shelves until they compete with alternatives.
I have been in this stock for over 5 years and they need to get this right pretty soon the research phase is over now the orders must be there. I want to be wrong with my numbers because I have the investment anyone else have any better thoughts.
