Why haven't Reddy's offered to buy all Fonda rights/patents from ACL? I mean they're already got the manufacturing/distribution rights....

Reddy's are in the perfect position buy, and could put themselves in a much greater position in doing so, not to mention taking in 100% of Fonda revenues. Even with an AG in play it seems likely there's still significant revenues to me made from Fonda, and from the looks of things it seems that generics drugs are taking much bigger percentages off brand name's than any of us have projected.

"In 2010, 75.4 percent of prescriptions written in the United States were for generic drugs. IMS Health predicts generics' share of prescriptions could reach 80 percent in 2012. Sending on unbranded generics grew 21.7 percent and branded generics grew 4.5 percent in 2010 from the previous year, spending on branded drug sales declined 0.7 percent"- http://pharma.about.com/b/2011/05/25/74-percent-and-growing-most-prescriptions-now-written-for-generic-drugs.htm

Of course Reddy's would be well aware off this( more so than ACL, and perhaps more so than anyone), Meaning they would have a much more accurate idea of what Fonda is really worth in today's/tomorrows market.

Now taking ACL's current cash situation into account, and the possible threat of competitors...... If you were Reddy's, and had the most accurate idea of how much revenue Fonda is really going to bring in, then wouldn't you look to capitalize on this? Under the current market condition's and with Reddys knowledge, they could offer a buy out price on Fonda that seemed completely reasonable to ACL and it's holders, yet had much greater benefit for themselves in the long term....... Everyone would come out with a smile on their face.

    :)
