I've got no idea what property is worth in Kyoto compared to Adelaide. I can see the place in Kyoto is in the middle of a city by the looks of it and within a stones throw of a river. It seems daft to choose one of their tiny apartments to compare when we have nothing like it here, even in the middle of Sydney a stones throw from the harbour.
A tiny country with a much larger population than Oz might well have a premium on land/space.
Oz 91 acres each person
Japan 0.73 acres each person.
How do you compare current values between countries with such huge differences?
