vintage, I always enjoy your posts and respect your opinions.

If anything, I think I was amongst the first of the long termers cum passionate followers of PEN to raise some of these issues.

Having communicated with many CEOs in the past, I feel I have a good handle for the BS factor. Now whilst I'm not wholly convinced of Gus' recent comments, I'm prepared to cut him some slack on this one.

Just as it would be foolish to dismiss a champion athlete on one poor performance, I honestly believe that now is not the time to dismiss Gus one his recent slip-up.

Yes it's out of character, and I told him so. But does Gus need to come out and qualify/rephrase/backtrack on every statement he has recently made or will make in the future?

    I shouldn't think so.

If the SP were 15 cents right now, would we be having this discussion?

    I wouldn't have thought so.

If the DFS had come out on time, were any guarantees in place as to the direction of the SP?

    I don't think so.

Apropos of qualification/rephrasing/backtracking, what other CEO/company does that?

And upon reflection, given the transitory nature of where PEN is at, between having to deal with potential new investors, engineering consultants, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, globetrotting, and so on, only a CEO with a modicum of decency would take the time to answer at least my concerns.

Not that this would ever be enough for some SH, who are anal to the extent of demanding either an apology or a pound of flesh. Neither of which they will get, nor deserve.

As I alluded to earlier, Gus is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. If he says nothing, even if that's the perception/reality right now, he's criticized; if he says something, and it doesn't go perfectly to plan, he's criticized.

It's this kind of mob mentality that will probably force Gus to say nothing in future - and what will investors say then?

And what about Gus' recent efforts re getting on the front foot, renegotiating a fairer outcome apropos of the NuCore deal?

No one continually bangs on about that.

Moreover, it seems rather obvious to me (as it should to others) that Gus has a rather large financial interest in getting this transitory phase absolutely right.

But no one continually bangs on about that.

Further, we can quite easily construe that every future document/blueprint will be of enormous significance

If there should be any delays, I bet most of us here will be banging on about that.

vintage, it's time to move on. I've moved on.

We can't always get what we want; we don't always deserve to get that which we want.

Some of us are now acting like spoilt little brats just because we've had it so good for so long.

    Never write off a champion.

They have a stunning habit of making us look like tools.
