    So let's agree it effectively costs 10c to have a share of the 80?c returned over 10? years.

    If one invested 10c @ 6% pa compound it would double to 20c in 12 years

    If one invested 10c @ 12% pa compound it would double to 20c in 6 years

    My calculation: to match this investment (assuming worst case of receiving money at the end of the decade only) you would need 23%pa compound.

    Does the market look like returning for you > 23%?
