The JV deal with OK Tedi was done when Frontier was struggling to survive as a junior explorer in PNG. They had great tenements in PNG and some ground in Tassie that showed promise but bugger all money in the bank to bank roll any further exploration and definitely not a major drilling program that would require big dollars (and massive dilution to shareholders) that the company just did not have. The OK Tedi deal was a major feat for a small explorer like Frontier to pull off and just shows the quality of ALL the tenements that Frontier possesses in PNG, not just Andewa!

As pointed out by others already nobody was sure what they had at Andewa until the 3D-IP was completed long after the JV deal had been inked. The best part i like about Andewa is that not only does it cover such a massive area (7km2) but the gold anomoly also appears to run very deep ( possibly upto 800m deep). We will soon know for sure whether the gold/copper anomoly does indeed run deep when the first 3 shallower drill holes ( 400m) results come due in late September.

Hopefully news of OK Tedi finally kicking off drilling on the first 2 JV tenements will give the share price a healthy kick along back over the 20c mark. But ultimately i feel only positive drill results from Andewa in September will move the price to former highs again!
