There are a lot of gold stocks on the ASX at the moment, and more IPO's every week. I have well over a hundred in my gold stocks watch list.

And I believe the market still sees KMC in transition, and may do so for as long as they have Nickel and other tenements and projects in the USA.

The management are doing a great job, but one of the big challenges is to unlock the value in the USA projects. I think it would be good news for KMC if we got some offers for 100% outright sales of the projects, and ploughed the money back into Bullant, and possibly into a further acquisition around Kalgoorlie.

When the market sees this focus, with all the extraneous bits removed, and the gold profit from 6 to 12 months of production, and possible acquisitions of further tenements or projects around Kal then KMC will garner attention.

The shareholder register probably still needs shaking out as well, post the mine acquisition from Argent.

Things are moving along nicely, but there are some reasons for continued, though naive, reticence on the part of the market.

If the gold price holds up near US$1,600 to US$1,800 over the next year, it will be interesting to watch KMC as all these loose ends are tied up.

KMC are also streamlining their personnel, with the retirement of one director, who need not be replaced.

I am glad that the market has not instantly jumped on to this. I still have more to buy.
