I only fly qantas to melbourne or brisbane if i have enough frequent flyer points..
for a trip to melbourne to watch football they are completely overpriced - would rather downgrade the service side and fly virgin or jetstar (Tiger when it was operating..)
tiger was cheap, late at times and poorly managed but hey - the 3 times i flew with them they did the job i needed - got me to melbourne for $9 so i could watch a tigers game...
i can't even catch a cab from my house to the city for $9!
now tiger is gone i either look at the other smaller carriers or jump on qantas - but a one way to melbourne is around $115 minimum...
i wouldn't fly them and definately wouldn't buy their shares..
