I wonder if Gunns, could or are still able to sell the contracts. If they are, perhaps putting them out to tender may have a response from the Federal and State Govt's. Wouldn't it be fair that they just then bid on them like everyone else? That would be an open fair process with actual market value, albeit fire sale prices.

It seems that one can never trust a politician's word, take Ju-liar as an example. One can only trust what a Govt is going to do when it is a legally binding contract. Lara Giddings is just trying to protect her personal political backside. A politician reversing their position? Unheard of, who'd ever think they did that? What next? Will they introduce and steam roller something they said they would not do prior to the election? Well carbon my backside and call me suckered.

Gunns may consider simply telling the Wilderness Society and others connected with the Peace Agreement, that they tried, but the Govt has reneged and unless they can convince them otherwise, then unfortunately a tender process is the only option left open to them. Perhaps the concerned parties can then convince the Govt's to go back to the table. That would set the cats among the political pigeons. Just a thought.
