the whole thing is odd.

the bloke who started stone was apparently one of the first capitalists in China - he became famous for it (so I read somewhere).

This would mean that he is a party man - very well connected and although wealthy, there would be enormous wealth behind him - and probably not far behind either.

I suppose it could have been ill thought out - but that would surprise me - although the older I get, the more surprised I get.

So they have a go at A1 - a complete basket case - and they try in the most hamfisted way to get cre? - or that's what they are telling us?

None of it makes sense - a blind man on a galloping duck could see that you don't buy a handful of shares and expect to knock over a solid deal between two people who decidedly want to get into bed together --------------
and if you did succeed, where is your expertise? - A few chinese coal miners who have barely survived chinese mining practices? I don't think so.

Personally I think they will either sign over or try and make trouble in any way they can - I can't see that they will just sit quietly - but, who knows?

Maybe they have something up their sleeve - I can't work out what it would be though - or why it would be worth it.
