Your sentiment I suggest is shared by many who bought in the run up to 20. It is not a piece of crap though. I have been in this market for over 30 years and I have been in your positon many times, much to my long term detriment.
Just remember that greed and fear rule stock markets, and you have just experienced a bout of fear.
As long as the gold is there (and it is),holders will one day be rewarded unless gold tanks and that is a risk investors take.
